Speech and Drama
Speech and drama activities are organised to gain self-confidence and enjoy adopting a different character. They are also great ice-breakers! The activities include creating small sketches and then viewing them on the big screen, inventing short poems or presenting a speech on different topics.
Fashion
This plays a special role in the Club activity programme. Fashion activities cover a whole series of interests for the Club girls. We organise events where the girls learn to design their own outfit, learn how to do photo shoots, design a magazine cover, choose outfits to suit different occasions. Through these activities the girls learn to understand the importance of fashion, to present themselves as who they are and what they would like to be, rather than being influenced by the media and stereotype celebrities.
Art
Art as a form of expression is important in the club activity programme, whether it be creating an art piece and applying a skill for a particular use. The art activities range from jewellery making, cake decoration, card making, sewing and mural painting.
Cookery
Cookery is a necessity for any household but besides learning the basic skills of cookery, the girls also learn to express themselves through the art of cooking. We teach the basic cookery skills: pastry and cake making, sauces, meats and breads. There is also the added element of presenting the dish and learning how to time a meal. Depending on the age group, we teach them how to follow a recipe, to planning a menu. There is also the added bonus of participating in a cookery competition once in awhile.
